What To Wear For Thanksgiving

It's almost Thanksgiving, can you believe it? Are you planning to go out of town for the holiday? We will be visiting my in-laws for the long weekend, and fingers crossed that Harper treats us well during the drive! Since we will be leaving on Thanksgiving Day, I definitely have to dress for comfort when factoring in both a three hour drive and eating way too much food once we get there. I know I just recently shared another outfit with a blanket scarf, but now is the time of year that I just can't get enough of them! When I think of a comfortable outfit in the fall/winter, a blanket scarf is always on the top of my list. I could also live in Old Navy Rockstar jeans because they basically feel like leggings on! When it comes to the perfect outfit to wear for Thanksgiving, I definitely think basics are the way to go. All you need is a stretchy pair of pants, a loose fitting top, like the chambray one I am wearing, and your most comfortable pair of flats.

What are you planning on wearing for Thanksgiving this year?

P.S. I'll be back on Thursday with my first holiday gift guide, just in time to start your shopping with all of the amazing deals that will be going on this weekend! I am a huge fan of online shopping, especially for Black Friday and Cyber Monday so you know I'll be sharing all of the best deals here for you!

The Weekly Style Edit Link Up: Lace

Considering it is going to be Black Friday a week from today, it seems as though today's outfit is quite fitting! Yesterday it totally hit me that it is almost Thanksgiving, which then means it is almost Christmas. Seriously, where has this year gone? I am really excited for the holidays this year with Harper since she will be a lot more aware and into the festivities than she was last year. I feel like my wardrobe is also starting to feel a lot more festive, not only because of the upcoming holidays, but because it is finally starting to cool down in New Mexico. Last week I was finally able to wear a blanket scarf for the first time for The Weekly Style Edit link up, and this week it's all about lace! A few months ago I shared a gorgeous navy lace dress, and really haven't worn anything lace since. Lace is such a chic and feminine way to add visual interest to an outfit, and I actually am not sure why I don't wear it more often! I was recently shopping at Old Navy (shocker!), and spotted a really gorgeous lace trim blouse that I'm thinking of picking up to wear for our Christmas card photos this year. There are so many beautiful options at Express as well, which is where I found the top I'm wearing today! I've linked a few options for you below, so be sure to check them out and come link up with Megan and I for The Weekly Style Edit at the bottom of the post.

Do you wear a lot of lace? How do you like to incorporate it into your outfits?

Cozy Cardigan For Fall

Happy Wednesday! This week definitely feels a lot better than last, and I am loving the warm weather we have been having again! It was literally 70 degrees out yesterday, so you know I was dressing for fall, even though it felt like summer out! Last week my husband and I took Harper on a little mini road trip that started off being work related, and ended on a really fun note as we spent some time in Santa Fe. We went to the most amazing bakery, so thankfully I was wearing this comfy and roomy cardigan haha! You know I'm all about cardigans, and the hooded one I am wearing today is certainly no exception. It is pretty perfect to throw on over just about anything, and I love the longer length on it because it can even be worn over leggings.

What is your favorite way to style a cardigan?

The Weekly Style Edit Link Up: The Blanket Scarf

Happy Friday! This was definitely a crazy week to say the least, and I am glad to say goodbye to it. I'm sure many of you are with me on that. I'm always excited when The Weekly Style Edit link up time rolls around, especially because this week is all about the blanket scarf! My love for blanket scarves goes way back, and I don't see it going away any time soon. I really think it is the perfect accessory for fall and winter, as it can be styled so many different ways. I recently found the one I am wearing in today's post from Target in the dollar spot area for $7! I was so sad years ago when I missed out on the original Zara version, so you can imagine how pumped I was to find this one for such an amazing price at Target. Seriously #targetdoesitagain! Be sure to link up your looks from the week with Megan and I below and show us how you style your favorite blanket scarf!

Basics & A Bold Lip

Happy Wednesday! You all know Wednesdays are one of my favorite days of the week, especially because I get to spend them at home with Harper! I also love Wednesdays because I get to team up with a lovely group of bloggers to share different fall trends for the #bloggersFALLfor series. Last week we shared our favorite ways to style leopard, and today is all about the bold lips/eyes! I'm definitely no stranger to the bold lip, but tend to wear them sparingly. I'm a sucker for a cherry red lip and a muted berry lip for fall, even though I generally stick to a subtle pink shade for every day looks. I felt like since the outfit I'm wearing today is pretty basic, I should spice it up a little with a classic red lip! This MAC shade is one of my favorites and will definitely be worn again for the upcoming holidays!

What's your favorite way to rock a bold lip or eye makeup look?
