Mother's Day Gift Guide Under $100

Since becoming a mom, I have a new found appreciation for Mother's Day. I am so fortunate to have a wonderful mom in my life, and I really don't know where I would be without her! She is the best grandma to Harper, and we really couldn't ask for more! Although us mamas should be celebrated every day (seriously though!), Mother's Day is always a nice time to get the special lady in your life something extra thoughtful, as well as practical for their daily lives. Today I am sharing my top 10 Mother's Day gift ideas that are all under $100. The best part is if you order any of these this weekend you will still get them shipped to you in time for the big day!

Lace Up Gladiator Sandals & The Perfect Maxi

If you are a regular reader of Middle of Somewhere, you know I love a good subscription box. I recently started receiving Le Tote and am seriously obsessed! I love that you can pick the exact 5 items (3 clothing pieces and 2 accessories) you want in each box. As soon as I saw this dress I knew I wanted to try it! I was really close to keeping it, but the top is a little bigger than I would want it to be. I definitely plan to try out more of the Octavia dresses, and I think this one is next on my list. If you haven't tried out Le Tote yet, you can use the code SOMEWHERE25 to get your first month of unlimited boxes for only $44 (25% off). Can we also talk about these gladiator sandals? I hadn't jumped on the lace up shoe bandwagon until now because I wasn't sure how they would look on my less than thin ankles, but now I'm in love! This pair is so comfortable and can be worn with so many different things.

Wearing:
Octavia Maxi Dress c/o Le Tote
Old Navy Gladiator Sandals (available in both red and a pretty light blue color)

Moto Leggings

It's almost the weekend! This week has definitely been a bit of a difficult one for me. Poor Harper has not been 100% and got her first fever, which makes for an extra tired mama. It is weeks like this that I am extra thankful that it is generally acceptable to wear leggings as pants (ha!) Speaking of leggings, I have worn this pair from my first  Le Tote a few times already since I received them because they are just too cute! I am obsessed with the faux leather panel and moto detail at the knee. I thought this gorgeous kimono from The Stylish Orchid paired perfectly with them, and actually wore this outfit to run some errands over the weekend. The day we took these photos it was pretty overcast and rainy (hence the hair), so it was nice to be able to not have to wear sunglasses like I do in most of my posts! My eyesight is actually not that great, and I am almost always wearing glasses in my daily life. I recently received this pair from Firmoo and just love the matte tortoise shell finish on them! I generally look for a more oversized frame size when picking out glasses, and these one definitely fit the bill. If you are looking for a new pair of eyeglasses, you have to check out Firmoo - most pairs are well under $40 and they offer free shipping if you are in the US. I am really in need of a pair of prescription sunglasses, and am thinking of ordering this pair for only $39! If you wear glasses, what are some of your favorite places to buy frames?

I also want to congratulate Kim, the winner of the tie dye maxi dress from my previous post with The Stylish Orchid! Thank you to everyone who entered and stay tuned for more giveaways soon!

Dressed Up Distressed Denim

How is it already Monday? I swear the weekends just go by faster and faster, and I'm kind of freaking out that there are only two weeks left in April! I have started planning for Harper's first birthday, which definitely brings about a mix of emotions! I am really excited to share some details of her birthday as it gets closer, but more on that later. Today I am wearing my absolute favorite pair of Old Navy Rockstar jeans once again (last seen paired with a bright yellow sweater and floral scarf). I am not kidding when I say that these jeans feel like leggings! I was on the hunt for the perfect pair of distressed black jeans for the longest time and really lucked out with this pair. I wear them at least once a week, and love that they can be worn casually or dressed up a bit with a pair of heels. This knit vest from Penelope Sage adds just the right amount of visual interest, and is great to throw over a tank or tee to help any outfit feel more polished. I really feel like vests are underrated, but are truly the perfect transitional piece from season to season since they are so lightweight and pair nicely with almost any top underneath.

What is one of your favorite transitional pieces to take you from season to season?

Tie Dye Maxi Dress + Giveaway!

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is treating you well so far! Is anyone else experienced the most random weather ever where you live? The weather was a total tease last week here because it felt like summer and then this week it's been cloudy and colder. If you follow me on Snapchat (@lindsayrutland) you will probably remember that I was so excited to finally be able to wear my first maxi dress of the year when it was almost 80 degrees. Thankfully we are supposed to see warmer days again next week, so in the meantime I will just dream about wearing this super cute maxi dress from The Stylish Orchid again. Can I just say that I actually really love that tie dye is back in this year? It's definitely a pattern that I haven't worn much in the past, but now this maxi dress has me hooked. I find it to be surprisingly flattering, especially for all my fellow curvy girls! I've only paired it with casual accessories so far, but could definitely see this maxi dressed up with a cute pair of wedges or a waterfall blazer in the evening. Do you want a chance to win your own Sunset Blvd. maxi dress? Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post to enter!

Just Peachy

Can TGIW be a thing? For me, I always love Wednesdays because I get to work from home and spend the day with Harper. I'm so lucky to have a day in the middle of the week to recharge at home and get some things done at home before finishing up the work week. Today's outfit is totally something you will catch me wearing on Wednesdays (granted that I actually leave the house!). This jeans and tunic combination is so simple, yet so perfect for the warmer spring days to come. It's also #momlife approved and easy to throw on and still feel put together. I am loving this oversized tunic from Penelope Sage! I've actually already worn it a few times since receiving it, as it's such a great layering piece and pretty much goes with anything! I really love this peach shade for spring and fall. Also, how perfect is this Rebecca Minkoff cross body that I recently scored on Poshmark? I was hesitant to pull the trigger, but fell in love with it as soon as I got it in the mail! Unfortunately this polka dot version is no longer available, but I've linked the all white version below (which also happens to be 25% off until Thursday with the Shopbop Friends & Family sale with the code INTHEFAM). You can check out the rest of my favorites from the sale here
