Old Navy Soft Pants aka Work Appropriate Sweats

Is anyone else as obsessed with Old Navy as much as I am this fall? I have found so many great pieces lately, and they have been having some of the best sales that are hard to pass up. I'll be honest - I basically live in these soft pants and who wouldn't? They are pretty much sweats, yet are work appropriate if paired with the right top and shoes. I have a few printed pairs as well, and I just love the versatility and affordability of them! I actually wore a version of this outfit for my birthday dinner a few weekends ago. I love pairing basics like this lightweight sweater from H&M with bold jewelry. All of the pieces I am wearing today came from my most recent Rocksbox and it was really hard to send these ones back. If you haven't tried out Rocksbox yet, you can use the code LINDSAYXOXO1 to get your first month of unlimited boxes free. If you're not familiar with this subscription service don't worry... I'll be sharing some of my favorites with you soon including the details of Rocksbox and Endless Eyewear with Ditto!

Old Navy Soft Pants (the olive green version are on sale for under $12!)

What I'm Loving This Weekend Vol. 2

image via: Pinterest

I don't know about you, but for me it feels like October is just flying by! Can you believe next weekend is Halloween? I know I am going to get a ton of side eyes for saying it, but I really am not a fan of Halloween. I love October and the fall, but I could live without anything Halloween related (except for candy, of course). This week was have been getting a bunch of rain and it's actually been pretty chilly here. I have been enjoying dressing for the cooler weather, and this weekend I am pretty much loving all things related to fall fashion including:

1. Blanket scarves - Yeah, I'm still not over this trend even though I'm sure many of you are! I just got another Zara scarf for my birthday and I also have my eyes on this ASOS one and this black & white checked one. When it gets cold here all I want to do is wear a blanket scarf and Uggs to keep warm!

2. Designer sunglasses - Let's face it, we all love a nice pair of sunglasses but can't always afford to shell out $200+ for pair. For me it's also really difficult to spend a lot on sunglasses knowing that shortly after buying them there will be another pair I love and will want to try out. That's where the Ditto Endless Eyewear service comes in. For $24 a month you can try out an unlimited number of sunglasses from designers such as Ray Ban, Karen Walker, and Miu Miu. I am currently borrowing a pair of Elizabeth and James sunglasses, and am waiting on a pair of Karen Walker's to arrive in the mail to swap out. You can try out Endless Eyewear for free for your first month with the code MIDDLEOFSOMEWHERE.

3. Gal Meets Glam for Baublebar - Gal Meets Glam was the first fashion blog that I ever started reading and is still one of my favorite bloggers to follow. This week she announced her partnership with one of my favorite jewelry retailers, Baublebar, which I am so excited for! The collection is so beautiful and timeless, much like Julia's style! My favorite pieces are the Aquanura Collar Necklace and the Bliss Drops Earrings. Also, how amazing are these acrylic monogram coasters? They are definitely on my Christmas wishlist!

4. Ankle boots - I really don't think I could live without ankle boots and booties in the fall. If any of you are like me, you have difficulty finding taller boots to accommodate your thick legs, and it's always so tricky trying to find wide calf boots that fit just right. I honestly avoid the issue and stick with ankle boots, which are more comfortable and flattering in my opinion. My all time favorite pair are the Sam Edelman Petty boots and I am finally planning on spending the money to get a pair soon! I love the 'Putty' suede, and even though they're not super practical, how cute are this leopard pair? Some other great options under $100 include this black Simply Vera Vera Wang pair and these cognac Steve Madden's.

Burgundy and Gray

Here we are on another Monday. It's so cliche to say, but how does the week go by so slow and then the weekend is over before we know it? I know I should live more in the moment, but I am always living for the weekend. I recently saw someone post a quote on Instagram that said, "I haven't been this excited for Friday since last Friday" and that is SO true! I actually wore this outfit a few weekends ago and love that it incorporates some of my fall staples that I plan to mix and match all season. I almost always find most of my basics at Old Navy, like my gray jeans and this printed tank top that's perfect for layering all year long. Old Navy is having a great sale right now so it's the ideal time to stock up - you can get free 2 day shipping and 40% off with the code FAST today only!

Open Toe Booties via Poshmark (I love this suede fringe pair and this navy pair that look like mine)
Loren Hope Earrings via Rocksbox (get your first month free with code LINDSAYBFF37)
Elizabeth and James Sunglasses via Ditto (first month free with code MIDDLEOFSOMEWHERE)

Light Layers for Fall

It's finally beginning to feel like fall around here and I love it! Last weekend we stopped by one of my favorite places, Wagner's Farm, to pick up some freshly roasted green chile. If you have never been to New Mexico, the fall is really the best time to visit! Right now not only is there green chile being roasted all around, the International Balloon Fiesta is going on and the leaves are just beginning to change. Next week it is supposed to be in the high 70's/low 80's again, so I am trying to enjoy the cool air while I can. This loose trench coat from Shein is the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe, and so easy to throw on during the cool mornings and evenings. It really is the perfect layering piece and is less than $27 right now! I know I will get a lot of use out of it in the next few months and again in the springtime as it starts to warm up.

What I'm Loving This Weekend

image via: Wantist

Hello! I hope you're having a great weekend so far. Today I went with my family to get our freshly roasted green chile for the season and enjoyed some green chile stew while we were at it. October in New Mexico is my favorite for so many reasons! Here are some things I am loving this weekend as we kick off the best month of the year:

1. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta - Definitely another one of the best parts of living in Albuquerque in the fall. I won't be going out this year (because bringing a 4 month old baby there doesn't sound like the most fun thing to do), but I am still looking forward to enjoying the balloons from my back yard and on my drive to work for the next two weeks. If you have never heard of the Balloon Fiesta, you must check it out!

2. The kick off to my birthday month - Although this year will be completely different than any birthday I've had in the past now that I have a baby, I still always love when my birthday comes around. Next weekend my husband and I are going to see Hozier to celebrate, which I am super excited for! As far as my birthday wishlist, these Sam Edelman booties are #1.

3. LBD's - Maybe because it's almost my birthday, or that I am pretending that I have plans to get dressed up and go out to celebrate, but I am really loving LBD's right now. I actually love the idea of a little black dress for pretty much any occasion. If I did have big plans for my birthday, I would totally love to splurge on this Ted Baker dress. This long sleeve v-neck option would be adorable on its own or dressed down paired with tights and a pair of ankle boots. There are also a lot of great plus size dress options here for all my curvy girls. How cute is this mesh body con option?

4. DIY beauty and cleaning products - I am on such a kick lately of finding ways to get rid of toxic ingredients from my house and making my own products. Thank goodness for Pinterest because I have been able to find so many great recipes. I have already made my own eye makeup remover and hand soap, and I have plans to make this homemade facial moisturizer next.

What are you loving this weekend?
