Easy Breezy Crochet Maxi Dress

I have to say that this maxi dress may be my new favorite thing to wear! Like I mentioned in Monday's post I pretty much live in maxi dresses right now, and this one from Pink Blush Maternity is so perfect for summer! I absolutely love the crochet back, and really don't feel like I need to accessorize it much to let the detail of the dress stand out on it own. This works out perfectly because lots of accessories, 100 degree heat, and a 5 week old baby don't really mix right now for me. I did receive my latest Rocksbox and am totally planning on using my Shine Spend on this Kendra Scott necklace! If you haven't had a chance to try out Rocksbox yet, you can use the code LINDSAYXOXO1 to get your first month of unlimited boxes absolutely free. If you love it as much as I do, it will only cost you $19 a month after your first month, which includes $10 toward any of the jewelry you love enough to keep! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Boho Chic

I hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day weekend! It was so much fun being able to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day yesterday with family. Since having a baby anytime I actually get dressed (because let's be honest I am in yoga pants 90% off the time), my go-to pieces are currently maxi dresses and kimonos. It's always a bonus when I can throw on a maxi dress that is nursing friendly, so I am in love with this simple black maxi from Pink Blush. This dress is perfect as a maternity dress, and is a great transition piece. Pink Blush Maternity was definitely one of my favorite shops while pregnant, and that certainly has not changed post-baby. If you are regular blog follower, please be prepared to see lots of maxi dresses in future posts! Since maxi dresses are a staple in my wardrobe, it was fun to try out a new trend that I honestly did not see myself pulling off - the turban headband. The lovely Jennifer of Wuthering Iris was kind enough to send me this adorable mint turban as part of a mommy and me set - I about died when I opened the package. The fact that Harper and I both matching headbands is so exciting to me... I can't wait to wear them together as she grows into it a little more! I would definitely urge you to check out Jennifer's Etsy shop. This week only she is offering all Middle of Somewhere readers 20% off your order with the code MIDDLEOFSOMEWHERE. Happy shopping!

Going Green

So here we are... first post-partum outfit post. I'm not going to lie, I was super intimated to get back into taking outfit posts for all of the world to see only 3 weeks after having a baby. Despite how good I already feel (it's amazing what our bodies can do!), the outside doesn't always match the inside. I also never imagined how difficult it would be to get dressed every day. I had so much fun getting dressed while I was pregnant, and it's amazing how awkward things tend to fit post-baby. I am so thankful for practical and beautiful pieces like this emerald knot maxi dress. I was able to wear it while I was pregnant and it is so perfect now as a nursing dress. It can be dressed down for day or dressed up for a night out... not that I know what that looks like or will be doing that any time soon! Since the dress is such a stand out piece on it's own, I love pairing it with simple accessories, such as this adorable pineapple necklace from Swell Caroline. Pineapples are totally in right now, and I love to incorporate the trend without being over the top. I am finding my ability to wear jewelry limited these days with a baby, so it's nice to dress things up a bit from time to time #momlife.

Harper's Nursery Tour

Well it has only taken me about a month to get pictures of Harper's nursery up... it's crazy how fast time goes with a newborn! I actually took these photos on my due date (May 21st) while I was waiting around for this little miss to arrive. Little did I know that the next morning she would be ready to join us! I am so happy with how her nursery turned out. When I found out I was having a girl there were some must-haves on my wishlist for her room, and thanks to my husband, we were able to make it look exactly how I envisioned it. Let's just hope she loves this room as much as we do as she gets older! Not only do I love the look of Harper's room, there are a few things in there that I honestly could not live without and have made the last month a lot smoother. I love my Simmons nursing positioner and it has definitely made nursing so much easier, especially because that has by far been the most challenging part of being a new mama so far. It contours perfectly to me, and as much as I love my Boppy, the nursing positioner holds its shape much better. This pillow and our comfy glider chair are my current BFFs.

I tried to link as many items as possible, but if you have questions about anything specific that I haven't linked feel free to ask in the comments below or send me an email

*Disclaimer: Harper is not actually sleeping in her nursery or crib just yet and probably will not for another few months. For safety purposes, once she does, the stuffed animals and decorations around her crib will be removed to ensure proper sleeping conditions.

Trend Spin Link Up - Stripes

Today I am co-hosting the Trend Spin link up with the lovely Laura of Walking in Memphis in High Heels and Erin of The Fashion Canvas. I have been joining this link up every week since I started this blog, so it is really exciting to be co-hosting today. Be sure to add a link to your recent blog post featuring your favorite stripes at the bottom of today's post.

These photos were actually taken just a few days before little miss Harper decided to join the world. I had a feeling they may be the last outfit photos I took for awhile, but of course when she was actually going to arrive was a huge unknown. I know what you may be thinking... I already shared my love for this perfect striped maternity dress but it had really become a true maternity wardrobe staple. I think once you find something you love, there's no reason to not wear it over and over. This dress was able to grow with me as my belly grew and was just the right length! You'll have to excuse my non-existent ankles in these photos... end of pregnancy (and postpartum) swelling is no joke! These embellished sandals from Target have also been on serious repeat as a result, and thankfully they are super comfortable!

Maternity Style Staples + Jord Wood Watches

Well hello there! I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since having my baby girl, and oh how I have neglected my blog. I have a few sets of outfit photos to share from when I was pregnant, so be expecting those in the next few weeks. I can honestly stay I have struggled with finding the motivation to sit down to blog when all I want to do is hold my baby girl in my arms and enjoy each moment because people are not kidding when they say time goes by SO fast once you have a baby. She is currently sleeping, so I figured I needed to take advantage and somewhat try to get back into the swing of things. I may only be posting 1-2 times a week for awhile, but am going to try my hardest not to fall off the map. Today's outfit is featuring some of my maternity style staples, i.e. jeans and a tank top. During the last few weeks of my pregnancy I was hot all the time, so this Old Navy tank top was a life saver! I believe I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time we took these photos, so this is 100% #whatiactuallywore. Also, how fun is this gorgeous wood watch from Jord? Considering that I wear a watch on a daily basis, I was really excited to introduce this style into my accessory drawer! My go-to watch is always my Michael Kors 'Bradshaw' Watch, however sometimes in the summer it gets to be a little overwhelming with the heat. This Jord watch is so lightweight, and I love how neutral and versatile it is, especially to wear in the warmer months of the year. I also love that they use natural and sustainably sourced wood for each watch. Have you ever heard of Jord? If so, which style is your favorite?
