What To Wear To A Wedding - Maternity Style

Two weeks ago my sister got married! I knew while she was planning the wedding that I would be pretty pregnant at that point so I decided to get on my dress shopping sooner rather than later. I was the matron of honor, and thankfully had my choice of what I wanted to wear. I bought this dress from ASOS about two months prior to the wedding, and it would up working out perfectly for the wedding. I have said it here before, but I'll totally say it again - ASOS has the BEST maternity dresses. Any occasion that I have needed a nice dress for thus far has been from ASOS. I have been wanting to also try some of their jeans, however with only two months left I am trying really hard not to buy any more clothes. One thing I am still able to buy and enjoy are accessories! I love the subtle glitter gradient detail on these BCBG pumps, which I ordered specifically for the wedding because I figured there was no way I could survive wearing anything taller than a 3" heel. My poor legs and ankles (more like cankles) have definitely filled out a bit more in the past few weeks and I have a feeling that it's only downhill from here until May. I suppose that is a small price to pay for the reward at the end!

Weekend Favorites

1. So predictable... I am loving anything that incorporates florals and vibrant colors right now! This was probably made pretty obvious in my recent post featuring my favorite baby girl clothes. I also can't wait to start painting my nails in pastel shades, like the new Essie polish in 'Petal Pushers'

2. The Blogger Collective Link Up is going on right now. Today is my first time participating in the link up since recently joining The Blogger Collective. One of the biggest things I have learned about blogging so far is that connecting with others is invaluable! I have also included the list of the other fantastic bloggers participating in the link up in my recent post featuring my favorite tee for spring

3. Target is currently having a major sale - buy one, get one 50% off of all clothesshoes, and accessories. That seriously cannot be beat, the possibilities for this sale are endless! I am currently eyeing these embellished slide sandals and this mint tote handbag

4. I am way overdue for a haircut and some color, and can't wait to go to the salon this weekend. I am always pinning away inspiration on to hair Pinterest board. How perfect is my latest pin featuring the beautiful Courtney Kerr? Totally makes me want to chop off my hair even more than I did the last time I got it done!

5. I really can't get enough of my new Polette eyeglasses! I recently talked about them in Monday's blog post, and there are still a few days left to get your entries in to win your choice of frames (sunglasses or eyeglasses). I love how affordable Polette's glasses are and there are tons of frames to choose from!

What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Currently Craving: Baby Girl Clothes

With only two months left until my due date, I am naturally craving all things baby. I have literally had to stop myself from buying clothes because to be honest, her closet is already filling up! My awesome sister in particular has gone crazy (in a good way) buying clothes and shoes since the minute we found out I was pregnant. I plan to do a nursery tour as soon as it is finished, and you will get to see just how much this little girl has already. Some of my favorite items of hers are from Old Navy. Their new arrivals for spring and summer are insanely cute, so I am really not sure how much longer my shopping ban is going to last. I guess I'll have to wait until my baby shower in a few weeks to see what I am finally going to be allowed to buy.

1. Gap Bunny Beanie - I mean... can you even handle this?
2. Tucker + Tate Print Leggings - Would look adorable paired with #7!
3. Tucker + Tate Cotton Tee Bodysuit - Loving the rose print
4. Old Navy Striped Romper - Looks so comfy for hot summer days
5. Old Navy White Skinny Jeans - The least practical item ever, but totally the cutest!
6. Old Navy Embroidered Bodysuit - I love the subtle detail on the neckline of this bodysuit.
7. Old Navy Gold Glitter Sandals - To match mommy's glitter sandals from Target
8. Freshly Picked Metallic Leather Moccasins - #1 on my wishlist for baby girl. I am especially loving the Rose Gold moccs!
9. Gold n Pearls Bodysuit - Very Chanel-esque, don't you think?
10. Old Navy Floral Flutter Sleeve Dress - This would be the perfect Easter dress!

Florals & Frames + A Giveaway With Polette

I hope you had a beautiful weekend! I really can't complain about the weather we have been having lately... it has been so gorgeous out and I love seeing all of the blooming trees around Albuquerque! A few weekends ago my husband and I finally invested in a nice new camera, so these are officially my first blog photos that I am posting using it. We are still trying to figure out the world of DSLR's, and are having a lot of fun in the process. Today, I want to introduce you all to Polette, an online eyewear retailer that offers super affordable designer sunglasses and eyeglasses. Polette sells frames that range in price from as low as $9.99 to $49.99 and lenses from $9.99 to only $89.99. I love the idea of affordable eyeglasses because I often find myself getting tired of wearing the same pair each day, but have struggled to invest in multiple pairs due to how expensive it can be to purchase prescription lenses. All Polette frames come directly from their own workshop, allowing them to offer such unbeatable prices. They have a huge selection of frames and it took me forever to narrow it down to my favorite pair. I really like the gradient effect of the frames I chose, and how the larger frames fit my face. If you love Polette as much as I do, make sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to enter for your chance to win your choice of frames!

I'm So Pregnant

I have literally held on to this t-shirt for a good six months and decided that it's now or never to wear it! I am going to be 31 weeks tomorrow, which is pretty unbelievable. I have loving being pregnant and I know that I will miss it at some point, although  I'm sure having baby girl around will make that transition a lot easier. I think I have finally hit the "OMG I am going to have a baby soon" phase, and things feel even more real now than ever!

Hello Apparel is one of my favorite online shops, and I knew I had to have this tee as soon as it came out (which just so happened to be around the time I found out I was pregnant). They are having an awesome 50% off sale right now - I just snagged the I'm So Tired sweatshirt that I have wanted for so long for only $25! Another graphic top that will be very fitting very soon. I also want to talk about these fantastic leggings from Preggo Leggings. I also ordered these when they had a great $24 sale and I'm so happy I finally did. They are full panel, which I totally love, and are really long so they are perfect for all you tall mamas out there! The material is nice and thick, and they are not sheer at all. I am dying to get my hands on their Preggo Is The New Black sweatshirt! For all of you expecting moms out there - what are some of your favorite online maternity shops?

Target Leopard Slip Ons (less than $25!)
3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Purse
House of Harlow 1960 Necklace via Rocksbox (use code LINDSAYXOXO1 for your first box FREE)

Also linking up with The Blogger Collective Link Up for the first time! Be sure to stop by and say hello to all of these lovely ladies to check out some of their favorite things for spring!

The Perfect Dress Under $25

I am typically not a huge dress girl, although my recent blog posts probably suggest otherwise. Being pregnant, I have begun to start feeling like my wardrobe is so boring and limited. As the weather has been warming up I've been dying to get out of jeans and pants and into something more comfortable to accommodate my growing belly. Thanks to Target I am able to do just that! I found this dress a few weeks ago, and it is easily my new favorite addition to my closet! I was 29 weeks when we took these photos, and I feel like my bump has gotten even bigger in just one week. This dress comes in six different colors, and I know that I definitely want to pick it up in black, especially considering it's under $25! I love the length, and the material is thick enough to where I am not worried about revealing any bumps or lines that I don't want to. I can even see myself wearing this postpartum, although I'm not too sure how well it would work for nursing. I hope all of you expecting mamas out there do yourself a favor and at least give it a try!

Wednesday Wishlist: Flats For Spring Under $50

As soon as warmer weather rolls around, I am always excited to start wearing flats again. To be honest, the weather in Albuquerque isn't usually that crazy during the winter so I am able to wear them at times, but not nearly as much as I would like. Especially now as my belly grows, it's getting more and more difficult to zip up boots and tie shoes. Even putting on socks is becoming a pain, so thankfully most of my shoes still fit and my feet are not too swollen! I am always looking to get new flats and hate paying much for a pair since I rotate different pairs often. Today I have rounded up some of my favorite flats for spring and they all happen to be under $50! Also, Old Navy is offering 30% off your online purchase (ends tonight - 03/11!) and no code is needed. A few of the pairs of flats I am loving are from Old Navy, and are such a steal. I always find that their flats fit me the best and I can almost always find my giant size 10 in stores and online. Which pair is your favorite?

How We Wore It: Maternity Style with Le Boutique Shop

I have been looking forward to today for about a month now! If you're wondering why, it's because I have been dying to share a fabulous collaboration between one of my favorite online shops, Le Boutique Shop, as well as some of my favorite bloggers for our monthly How We Wore It maternity series. If you missed it, last month we shared our Valentine's Day style, and I'm definitely excited to see what April has in store for us all.  Make sure to stop by each blog to see how everyone styled their Le Boutique Shop jewels! Elvia at Le Boutique Shop, who is also a beautiful mom-to-be, was so generous and kind to provide all of us ladies with some special sparkle for today's post. Le Boutique Shop has been a favorite of mine for quite some time now, and I was even lucky enough to feature some of her jewelry in a post last summer. I absolutely love how the Meagan necklace and double stud earrings complimented the softness and simplicity of my dress, yet are gorgeous statement pieces to stand out on their own!

Today's outfit was actually what I wore for my first baby shower a little over a week ago. My in-law's put together a beautiful shower with a tea party theme, and were sure to include some of my favorite foods and handmade goodies for the baby like a handmade sequin letter H that we will soon be hanging in her room. I am so happy I ordered this dress for the occasion, and really can't say enough about how much I love the maternity section at ASOS. I have ordered 3 dresses for different occasions from ASOS and they all fit perfectly! They run true to size and I love that they are not too short or clingy. If you are expecting and looking for a special occasion dress, look no further! Also, if you are a mama to be, you will want to set a reminder to head to my Instagram (@lindsayrutland) at 7pm CST tonight for a ridiculously amazing giveaway with over $750 worth of prizes, including credit to Le Boutique Shop, Preggo Leggings, Bumpstyle Box, a pair of Freshly Picked moccasins, and more!

A huge thank you to Elvia from Le Boutique Shop for providing today's jewelry.

Weekend Favorites

image via: Design Love Fest

TGIF! Another weekend is upon us and I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to relaxing and lounging around! I have had a busy (total understatement) past few weeks, so I will need to play a bit of catch up this weekend. The weather has also not been wonderful for blog photos, hence the lack of outfit posts. Plus, it's getting to be just a bit challenging dressing my growing bump. I can't believe I am 29 weeks as of yesterday! Since babies are always on my mind now, some of my favorites are of course baby/nursery related. What are you looking forward to most this weekend?

1. My husband and I are going to tackle this DIY paper mobile this weekend for the baby girl's room. I have had a really hard time finding a mobile that is simple, so instead of forcing ourselves to find one we like, we decided to make one that we will love!

2. My latest obsession is Loren Hope jewels. I recently received the small crystal Sarra cuff in my latest Rocksbox and there's no way I'm sending that baby back. I know I have mentioned Rocksbox a million times, but I really do love this subscription service. You can also try out your first month totally free (and get 50% off your second month, making the cost to you only $9.50 for 2 months) with the code LINDSAYXOXO1.

3. I'm sure you have seen or heard by now that Shopbop is having a huge sale! With baby on the way, everything I am eyeing will stay in wishlist status. If I had unlimited funds I would totally pick up these Karen Walker sunnies, a Rebecca Minkoff crossbody, and Sam Edelman booties

4. I recently discovered Pixel Paper Hearts via Instagram and instantly fell in love! As soon as the baby is born I am totally ordering her a personalized paint chip print for her wall!

5. So much hair-inspo going on in my life right now. I think I am going to go even shorter during my next hair appointment. This cut/color is at the top of my list, thanks to my girl crush, Lauren Conrad!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! I am looking forward to our weather in the 60's, and hoping it stays this nice until spring!

Accessorizing Your Basics

Did anyone else experience the WEIRDEST weather ever this weekend? Yesterday we drove up north for our first baby shower at my in-law's house. I am not kidding when I say that we drove through the worst weather I have ever seen - snow and ice packed roads for 3+ hours straight, including a steady snowfall the entire time. Today we arrived back home in Albuquerque to calm blue skies and the snow had melted to the point where you wouldn't believe me if I told you what it looked like here yesterday. Thankfully I was able to get out and take some outfit photos. I have been slacking in this area lately thanks to our crazy weather and well to be honest, crazy life events. But I feel like I am back now with nothing to stop me and it feels good!

Today's outfit is pretty simple and gets most of it's appeal from the accessories I am wearing. I love this Old Navy top, but found that from the side I just look huge and not pregnant... not cute! So I decided to use my favorite leopard belt to add a little more dimension to the look. I also received my fourth Rocksbox this weekend and am super excited that the oh-so-coveted Loren Hope cuff came in my box! I have been eyeing this beauty for so long and I love it just as much in person as I did in photos. If you have not tried out Rocksbox, now is the time! You can also try it out totally free for your first month with the code LINDSAYXOXO1. If you have tried Rocksbox, what is your favorite piece you've received?

P.S. Don't forget to enter to win a $300 Visa gift card from Friday's post!
