What I'm Loving This Weekend

Hello! I hope you're having a great weekend so far. Today I went with my family to get our freshly roasted green chile for the season and enjoyed some green chile stew while we were at it. October in New Mexico is my favorite for so many reasons! Here are some things I am loving this weekend as we kick off the best month of the year:

1. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta - Definitely another one of the best parts of living in Albuquerque in the fall. I won't be going out this year (because bringing a 4 month old baby there doesn't sound like the most fun thing to do), but I am still looking forward to enjoying the balloons from my back yard and on my drive to work for the next two weeks. If you have never heard of the Balloon Fiesta, you must check it out!

2. The kick off to my birthday month - Although this year will be completely different than any birthday I've had in the past now that I have a baby, I still always love when my birthday comes around. Next weekend my husband and I are going to see Hozier to celebrate, which I am super excited for! As far as my birthday wishlist, these Sam Edelman booties are #1.

3. LBD's - Maybe because it's almost my birthday, or that I am pretending that I have plans to get dressed up and go out to celebrate, but I am really loving LBD's right now. I actually love the idea of a little black dress for pretty much any occasion. If I did have big plans for my birthday, I would totally love to splurge on this Ted Baker dress. This long sleeve v-neck option would be adorable on its own or dressed down paired with tights and a pair of ankle boots. There are also a lot of great plus size dress options here for all my curvy girls. How cute is this mesh body con option?

4. DIY beauty and cleaning products - I am on such a kick lately of finding ways to get rid of toxic ingredients from my house and making my own products. Thank goodness for Pinterest because I have been able to find so many great recipes. I have already made my own eye makeup remover and hand soap, and I have plans to make this homemade facial moisturizer next.

What are you loving this weekend?
