Blue Jean Baby + Nordstrom Giveaway

The last Monday of September... can you believe it? I am sad to see it go, but can't wait for October aka my birthday month! I am still trying to enjoy the nice weather we have had here lately, as well as the green leaves on trees because I know that won't be lasting long. Today I am excited to introduce you all to a wonderful online store, Blue Jean Baby Clothing. We initially found each other via Instagram (@bluejeanbabyclothing), which as I have recently mentioned is my favorite way to find new online shops and boutiques. Natalie, the owner of Blue Jean Baby Clothing, was incredibly kind and generous to send me this outfit and man, did she nail my style! As soon as I received the package and tried it all on I didn't want to take these pieces off. I honestly have a pretty difficult time finding a good pair of jeans, and I have never tried Kut from the Kloth before this pair. Thanks to Natalie, I think I may have found a new favorite brand! They are so stretchy and flattering, and definitely fit true to size. Plus the broken record in me wants to tell you that they will be long enough for all of my tall girls out there! In addition to the jeans, I also love the details of both the top and blazer. I mean, a polka dot lined blazer and a cut-out top with a sheer neckline? YES please! I urge you all to go check out Blue Jean Baby Clothing while you're doing your fall/winter shopping - you will not be disappointed in the selection of tops, jeans, jackets, and dresses, and Natalie's customer service cannot be beat!

Wedding Guest Attire

Happy Saturday! I apologize for posting a day later than I normally do (I'm sure you all totally noticed!), but this week was a pretty tiring one! So needless to say, I am so glad it's the weekend. Today I wanted to share with you all some great wedding guest/special occasion attire. If you're like me, you will have at least one wedding to attend this fall. I think I am partial to fall weddings because mine was in September... it's just such a beautiful time of year! My husband and I will be attending an out-of-town wedding in November, which we are really looking forward to. Trying to find the perfect cocktail dress can sometimes be a challenge, but thankfully there are great online shopping options, such as Aviva Dress. Aviva Dress is a great place to find an evening or formal dress that is special and unique, which is always important because is there anything worse than showing up to an event wearing the same dress as someone else? Ok... yes, there are worse things, but you know what I mean.

One of my favorite things about Aviva Dress is that you can choose any color for the dress of your choice from their almost 30 color options. Their dresses also come in a huge range of sizes - from a size 2 (6 UK) to 26 (30 UK). You also have the option to custom order any of their dresses with your exact measurements for under $20! Although the site is based in the UK, they ship worldwide, so to all of my US readers - you are in luck. Shipping will generally run about $25, which is a small price to pay for a reasonably priced, high quality special occasion dress. If you are not going to be attending a wedding this year, you're still in luck. Aviva Dress also carries a huge range of bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, long and short prom/formal dresses, and even wedding dresses! Trust me when I say this may just be your new one-stop-shop for all of your special occasion dress needs!

Mixed Prints + OASAP Giveaway

Can you believe yesterday was the first day of fall? I am definitely going to miss the warmer summer months, but as I get older I think fall has become my favorite season. I love fall fashion, especially pieces with unique details, such as this top with faux leather sleeves. You know I am a total jeans and t-shirt girl, so I love to mix things up a bit by wearing tops that have a little something special to them. Today I thought I would share an adorable blouse from OASAP. If you have not heard of this great online store before, you have to check it out! This top was under $18 and is one of many reasonably priced items they have to offer. One of my favorite bloggers, Jessica from Afternoon Style recently featured it as well (great minds!) so make sure to head over to her blog to see how she styled it!
P.S. Please excuse the windblown pictures today! I'm telling you it's always my luck.

Fall Maxi + JCrew Giveaway!

It shouldn't come as a surprise that I love a good maxi dress no matter what season it is. A maxi dress is such a versatile piece; it can be dressed up or down, worn on it's own with simple jewelry and a panama hat in the summer, or with a scarf and leather jacket in the fall/winter. I especially love a solid maxi in a stand out color, like the one I am wearing today from Hippie Chick Boutique. If you are more into prints, I also love this navy and white printed maxi! I also can't get enough of my sequin clutch! I have been coveting one since seeing them around on Pinterest, and was so happy to finally find one from Ash & Willow. If you love this clutch just as much as I do, be sure to use the code BARutland for 10% off. Also, scroll down to the end of this post for your chance to win a JCrew gift card!

Black on Black with Pearls

Here we are... the middle of the week! So happy we are getting closer and closer to the weekend. Today I wanted to share an outfit from last week that I wore for our anniversary dinner. We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Indigo Crow. They have the most delicious lobster risotto, which is of course what I had for dinner! We also must talk about the other star of the show: my Chanel pearls. When my husband and I finally set a wedding date (have you ever seen The Five Year Engagement? yeah... that was us!) I knew I wanted a simple, un-embellished dress and a stand out piece of jewelry. Enter: Chanel and my amazing Mom. My Mom gifted these to me as my "something new" for my wedding day. Since I got married, I mainly wear them for our anniversary date night. I feel like they can't be worn just any old day, but truthfully, I really should wear them more often! I am thinking they will need to be a part of my upcoming 30th birthday outfit, but I will have to see how they look with the sequin skirt I just purchased for the big day!

Marilyn and Beverly's Lace Top (definitely size up!)
Kohl's Skirt (also love this skater skirt from Nasty Gal)
JCP Heels (old, this Forever 21 suede stacked pump are similar)
Chanel Pearls (gift)
BCBGMaxazria Clutch (gift, Gigi NY All in One Bag is very similar)

Also, a friendly reminder to get your entries in for your chance to win a $400 Visa gift card. Check out the Rafflecopter below. Good luck!

A Touch of Leopard + Spotlight Weekly Link-Up

TGIT! This week has been a great one for me so far, and I hope it has been just as wonderful for you! On Monday my husband and I drove up to Santa Fe for a little pre-anniversary date to see the one and only Aziz Ansari. It was at a place called the Lensic Theater, which I had never been to or even heard of before this show. It was amazing! Such a cool and intimate space, and Aziz was as hilarious as ever. If you saw my post from yesterday you will know we celebrated our third wedding anniversary. Man does time fly! We had so much fun kicking off the week doing something that we both enjoy and that is different for us (it's rare that any good comedians come to New Mexico). We arrived to the venue at the perfect time to (quickly) enjoy the sunset and snaps a few blog photos. From there, the week just kept getting better and better! Today is another exciting day because I am co-hosting the Spotlight Weekly Link Up with the lovely Elle of Living in Color Style and Jacqueline of Stylin in St. Louis. Make sure to check out the link up at the bottom of this post and include your favorite post featuring leopard print!

Target Heels via Poshmark (also loving this pair from Sole Society)
Forever 21 Crossbody (no longer online, loving this faux leather zippered option)

1. We kindly ask that you follow the two hosts: Elle from Living in Color Style on Bloglovin', Jacqueline from Stylin' In St. Louis via Bloglovin' and the guest host, Lindsay of Middle of Somewhere on Bloglovin'! (The first three links in the link-up)

2. Use the button provided on Elle or Jacqueline's side bar or link back to the link-up on your blog.
