Black on Black with Pearls

Here we are... the middle of the week! So happy we are getting closer and closer to the weekend. Today I wanted to share an outfit from last week that I wore for our anniversary dinner. We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Indigo Crow. They have the most delicious lobster risotto, which is of course what I had for dinner! We also must talk about the other star of the show: my Chanel pearls. When my husband and I finally set a wedding date (have you ever seen The Five Year Engagement? yeah... that was us!) I knew I wanted a simple, un-embellished dress and a stand out piece of jewelry. Enter: Chanel and my amazing Mom. My Mom gifted these to me as my "something new" for my wedding day. Since I got married, I mainly wear them for our anniversary date night. I feel like they can't be worn just any old day, but truthfully, I really should wear them more often! I am thinking they will need to be a part of my upcoming 30th birthday outfit, but I will have to see how they look with the sequin skirt I just purchased for the big day!

Marilyn and Beverly's Lace Top (definitely size up!)
Kohl's Skirt (also love this skater skirt from Nasty Gal)
JCP Heels (old, this Forever 21 suede stacked pump are similar)
Chanel Pearls (gift)
BCBGMaxazria Clutch (gift, Gigi NY All in One Bag is very similar)

Also, a friendly reminder to get your entries in for your chance to win a $400 Visa gift card. Check out the Rafflecopter below. Good luck!

  4. That Chanel necklace is gorgeous, I would be wearing it all the time... not just for anniversary dinners! I know pearls can be tricky though, because they are saved usually for more up scale occasions. Lobster risotto sounds so good!
